For pharmacies

Access for pharmacies in Germany

Kapcura supplies pharmacies only. Prescription-only medicines may be advertised only to healthcare professionals such as pharmacies (section 10(1) HWG), so we verify every pharmacy before it can use the portal. Registering and using the portal is free.

We check your details against your operating licence, usually within two working days, and confirm your access by email.

Frequently asked questions

Access

Who can register?

Pharmacies in Germany with a valid operating licence. We supply pharmacies only and cannot answer enquiries from patients.

Why can I only see the range after verification?

Prescription-only medicines may be advertised only to healthcare professionals such as pharmacies (section 10(1) of the German Medicinal Products Advertising Act, HWG). That is why the range, batches and prices are shown only once your pharmacy is verified.

What do I need to register?

Your pharmacy's name and address, the operating licence number, the name of the responsible pharmacist and a work email address. VAT ID and phone number are optional.

How long does verification take?

Usually within two working days. It is quicker if you upload your operating licence after registering. We tell you our decision by email.

How does an invitation work?

Once we have checked your pharmacy in advance, for example after an enquiry through the contact form, we send you a personal invitation link. The link is time-limited (the expiry date is in the email) and only valid for your email address; you have access as soon as you register.

Does the portal cost anything?

No. Registering for and using the portal is free of charge.

Documents and quality

Which documents do I receive?

The certificate of analysis of every released batch as a PDF in the portal. We provide documents for supplier qualification to verified pharmacies in the portal too.

How does the identity test work?

You carry out the identity test in your pharmacy, for example according to the cannabis flower monograph of the German Pharmacopoeia (DAB): macroscopic, microscopic and by thin-layer chromatography (TLC). With a valid certificate of analysis, this identity test is sufficient at goods receipt (section 11(2) ApBetrO). Download the batch's certificate of analysis in the portal.

Are the goods irradiated?

Yes. Every batch is gamma-irradiated at 10 kGy to meet the microbiological requirements of the pharmacopoeia, and then tested against the limits of the European Pharmacopoeia.

Ordering and delivery

Are pre-orders binding?

No. Pre-orders are non-binding letters of intent, subject to batch release. You can withdraw them in the portal. We confirm or decline every pre-order and tell you by email.

How does ordering work?

You send an order request in the portal; it is not binding. We check and approve it, and you then confirm the order in the portal, which makes it binding.

Who delivers and who invoices?

Our licensed German distribution partner. It delivers to your pharmacy's registered address and invoices you.

Are there minimum quantities?

Yes. The minimum quantity and order steps are shown for each batch in the portal. We are happy to answer questions about quantities.

How do I reach Kapcura?

By email at pharmacy@kapcura.com or through the contact form.
